The time has now arrived and we are delighted to announce the winner of Emperor Divers’ ‘Dive Into Photography’ competition.
We received hundreds of images and the quality of the entries was truly mindblowing. It was great to see how people took to the competition’s concept and sent us their take on what diving means to them.
There were beautiful images of above the water, there were great pictures of boats and the people on them as well so many incredible photos of life under water. There were also some that gave us a really good laugh with their humour!
We were hugely impressed by the standard of all the submissions but, as they say, there can only be one winner.
And we are very pleased to say the successful image, as chosen by our panel of judges, is…Gunnar Oberhösel’s simply stunning picture of a pod of dolphins.
This amazing shot was captured in Egypt last year and really grabbed our attention. Gunnar will no doubt be hoping to match (or perhaps even better!) such a special moment when he claims his prize – a FREE week-long trip on our superb Red Sea liveaboard Seven Seas.
Congratulations, Gunnar. We look forward to you joining us on board Seven Seas soon.
There were so many great snaps we can’t share them all with you but here is a very small selection of the ones that caught our eye – and made us laugh.
Among those that made us chuckle were Vojislava Radovanović’s “I don’t want to go home” and one from Christoph Seewald who “celebrated my 100th dive with a good bottle of red wine”!
Thank you again to everyone who entered – we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your entries. And, you never know, we might do it all again in time for another free trip next year…
