But the rooms were a bit old (with rusty taps and peeling floors), and meals were almost always not enough for the guests, with key items like chicken/fish proteins fishes running out too fast.
In short, don’t expect luxury but they provide great value deals if you book early at least half a year in advance.
I completed my PADI Open Water certification with Emperor Divers Honiara and had an amazing experience. Caroline is a great instructor — her explanations were always extremely clear, and she made me feel safe, calm, and confident throughout the entire training.
We did our 4 certification dives on the Bonegi wrecks, and the diving was incredible. I saw so many fish species, including a manta ray, moray eels, garden eels, clownfish, tomato fish, and sergeant majors. The wrecks themselves were also very impressive and fascinating to explore.
The dive sites are beautiful, and Caroline also shared a lot of context about the history of the wrecks, local life, and Solomon Islands culture, which made the experience even richer.
The location of the dive shop is also very convenient — right near the harbor and literally 2 minutes away from the hotels.
If you’re ever in the Solomon Islands, definitely dive with them!

J’ai passé mon PADI Open Water avec Emperor Divers Honiara et l’expérience a été fantastique. Caroline est une excellente instructrice : ses explications étaient toujours très claires, et je me suis senti en sécurité, calme et en confiance pendant toute la formation.
Nous avons fait nos 4 plongées de certification sur les épaves de Bonegi Beach, et c’était incroyable. J’ai vu énormément de poissons, notamment une raie manta, des murènes, des anguilles jardinières, des poissons-clowns, des poissons tomates et des sergents-majors. Les épaves elles-mêmes étaient aussi très impressionnantes à explorer.
Les sites de plongée sont magnifiques, et Caroline a aussi partagé beaucoup d’informations sur l’histoire des épaves, la vie locale et la culture des Îles Salomon, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus enrichissante.
L’emplacement du centre est également très pratique, juste à côté du port et à 2 minutes très s à pieds des hôtels.
Si vous passez aux Îles Salomon, plongez absolument avec eux !

The entire crew did an outstanding job, and you could truly feel the passion and dedication they put into making this experience unforgettable. The dive guides were exceptional — extremely attentive, focused on safety, and with an amazing eye for marine life. Thanks to them, we experienced some of the most beautiful dives imaginable and saw an incredible variety of underwater life. The crew took care of absolutely everything, allowing us to fully relax and simply enjoy the diving.
The food was also fantastic — fresh, delicious, and varied every single day. The cabins were always clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere on the boat was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. You don’t feel like just another guest — you feel like part of a family.
Raja Ampat itself is a dream destination, but the Emperor Harmoni and its amazing team made this trip truly special. Without a doubt one of the best dive trips of my life, and I will definitely come back! 💙🐟🦈

We were also assigned an excellent instructor who helped us understand the basics of diving, including setting up the equipment, behaving correctly underwater, handling potential problems, and improving our diving skills overall.
Our instructor was very knowledgeable, thorough, and patient in answering all our questions. He also gave constructive feedback whenever we made mistakes, which really helped us improve and gain confidence.

Day Diving
