If you think you’ve seen all day diving has to offer in the Red Sea – think again!
Wadi Sabarah is our newest dive centre and it offers a package of peace, tranquility, relaxation, wonderful accommodation, great food and, of course, amazing underwater action.
The centre is based within the Wadi Sabarah Botanical Lodge & Gardens which is a secluded haven compared to more bustling resorts. Built with repurposed fossilised coral limestone, it was designed in harmony with nature and oozes calm to provide a stunning retreat from which to explore the Red Sea.
And that‘s the great bit. As the Lodge is built right on the coastline, great diving is available literally metres from your bedroom door.
As always, our team will do everything to make your holiday as stress free as possible, including collecting you from the airport and transporting you by bus to other nearby dive sites you might want to explore in the area.

The best diving…on your doorstep
A simple step off the hotel’s jetty can provide you with some great diving in Wadi Sabarah’s housereef.
However, the main way of diving is to take a short minibus ride into the surrounding area which is full of tranquil bays – protected from wind and waves – where reefs can be accessed from the shore offering easy and relaxed entry to the water.
For those wanting to see slightly further afield, Wadi Sabarah is also perfectly positioned to access our classic day diving boat trips from nearby Port Ghalib on either Emperor Amy and Skye. How about a morning dive on Ras el Torfa then the afternoon in Marsa Mubarak for example?
Empress Isa is now moored at Equinox jetty, a few kilometres from Wadi Sabarah and with quick access to Sha’ab Abu Dabab (30 mins) and Elphinstone (60 mins). Or, if you want to be a bit earlier, or have a small group, Elphinstone, which can be seen from the grounds of Wadi Sabarah, can be reached via speedboat.
With Marsa Alam less than 30 minutes away, Sha’ab Samadai (Dolphin House) is also on the diving menu, meaning we can confidently say there is no diving base with as many different dive options in the south Red Sea.
Of course, with such an intimate centre our team can help you plan and make the best dives, as you’ll be spoiled for choice!
And, wherever you have explored during the day, there is always our beautiful housereef and centre to return to for another dive – and maybe even a nice relaxing beer.
PADI Courses
As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre we teach a full range of courses from Learn to Dive to Open Water and Advanced.
Pools of differing depths and shallow sandy bays accessible by boat provide the ideal locations to practice skills while air-conditioned classrooms, a Divers Bar and our best-ever retail shop complete the ‘welcome guest’ experience. You’re never far from your team, your boats or your next dive.
Our instructors and guides speak a range of languages including English, German, French, Italian and Arabic (please check to make sure at the time of booking).
Getting to Wadi Sabarah
It’s very easy to get to our dive centre at Wadi Sabarah with several major European airlines flying into Marsa Alam airport which is less than 45 minutes drive away. From here Emperor Divers can arrange transport to bring to the Lodge.
If you’re coming from further afield then regular domestic flight connections from Cairo to Marsa Alam (RMF) are available with Egypt Air.
It’s also possible to fly into Hurghada (HRG) from where transfers can be booked online and take about 2.5 hours.
