Raja Laut in Komodo

Make your Komodo dream come true this summer

This summer could be the perfect time to take the trip you have always dreamed of and join us exploring the Komodo National Park.

Our beautiful schooner Raja Laut will be fresh out of dry dock when she heads to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in August and her immaculate new appearance will provide the perfect home as you visit this enthralling part of the planet.

With only 12 guests on board you get to see the National Park as part of an intimate little group with the added attention that comes with being a small party – along with the comfort and service that is expected of an Emperor Divers holiday, of course!

The summer months are an excellent time to see Komodo with the weather at its finest which means the overall diving experience is better with less rain and more consistent sea conditions.

The water temperature is comfortable, typically ranging from 26°C to 29°C, while the water clarity is also at its peak during the dry season, offering excellent visibility and allowing divers to fully appreciate the stunning underwater landscapes and the vibrant marine life.

Komodo also has the advantage of being easily accessible for those entering the country through Bali. The flight time from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo departure point is only around an hour making the wonders of the National Park reachable with limited additional travelling.

You are only a short journey away from joining us on a diving holiday you will never forget having potentially spent a few days exploring the sensory extravaganza that Bali is, enjoying its great food and being captivated by its cultural delights.

The summer is a great time to spot a diverse array of marine species in the National Park and is notable for encounters with manta rays; who are attracted to the area’s strong currents and to feed in the nutrient-rich waters; as well as turtles, sharks, and a plethora of fish species and coral gardens.

And, of course, it is not just the marine life that proves such a lure to those coming to Komodo – there is also the eponymous dragon.

Around 10 feet in length (3m) and weighing up to 150 pounds (70kg), the Komodo Dragon have thrived on the Indonesian islands for millions of years and their ancestors walked the Earth alongside dinosaurs.

So, grab your chance to take that trip you have been thinking about for years. Come on board our Komodo National Park itinerary this summer – we can promise it will give you memories that last a lifetime.
