When we set out to bring three Emperor Legends together for a trip this year, we knew it would be special.
A trio of the Red Sea’s most respected and much-loved dive guides as a team for a one-off, unforgettable liveaboard journey built purely around their favourite dive sites.
The response was overwhelming! So much so it became clear this wasn’t something that should only happen the once as the places on our first trip were snapped up in extra-quick time.
So, in 2027, the Legends will be back – and this time, they’re doubling up!
Tracy Atkinson, Saad Badawy and Sonia Goggel will reunite onboard Emperor Elite for two consecutive weeks – one trip in the north Red Sea, the other exploring the south – with the itineraries shaped around the sites they know and love best.
Over the space of a fortnight, they will bring their decades of Red Sea experience to share with our lucky guests and offer the kind of relaxed, insightful guiding that has made them such popular figures in the Emperor’s history.
Having all three onboard one boat is just too good an opportunity to miss – but what will they show you?
Emperor Legends North (September 16, 2027 – Hurghada to Hurghada)
The first week focuses on the classic northern Red Sea sites that never lose their appeal no matter how many times you visit.
A carefully chosen route will take in a handpicked selection of the Legends’ favourites sites across Ras Mohamed, the Brothers, Thistlegorm, Panorama Reef and the Straits of Tiran (where, given the chance, Sonia might just keep you on Jackson Reef for the whole seven days!).
Emperor Legends South (September 23, 2027 – Hurghada to Port Ghalib)
The southern trip starts with the guides’ favourite spots between Hurghada and Safaga, before touring around the Brothers, Daedalus, and the reefs of Fury Shoals before heading back via Abu Dabab, Elphinstone and a final dive at the beautiful Ras Shouna.
What makes these trips stand out isn’t just the itinerary, but the people leading them.
