Going to the Maldives had been a bucket list for me, so when I got the opportunity to do on a live aboard, I jumped at the opportunity. The entire crew on the Emperor Explorer was outstanding! The chef was amazing, the dive sites were gorgeous! Thank you to the dive guides for their knowledge and kindness!

Was soll ich sagen? Emperor Divers Wadi Sabarah has ist all. Wir haben hier als Familie sehr schöne Tauchtage erlebt und die Kinder haben dabei ihren AOWD Kurs gemacht.

Unforgettable Diving with Emperor Divers – A Perfect Blend of Professionalism and Heart
We had such a memorable experience diving with Emperor Divers that we’re still smiling just thinking about it. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and quietly well-organized—no stress, no fuss, just a team that clearly loves what they do and wants you to enjoy every moment.
We were incredibly lucky to dive with Ahmed, who turned out to be the perfect guide for both of us. Thoughtful, patient, and quietly confident, he knew exactly how to support someone with little or no experience in the water. For anyone who might feel nervous or unsure—he’s the one you want beside you. He gave us the space to find our rhythm while always being right there when we needed guidance.
Over several days, we explored a variety of dive sites, each with its own magic:
1. The House Reef – Just steps from the hotel, it offered a peaceful start with plenty of marine life to discover.
2. Abu Dabbab (shore and boat) – One of the highlights: wide open spaces, beautiful corals, and incredible encounters.
3. Shoni Bay – A gentle, scenic dive with crystal-clear water and lots to see even at shallow depths.
And what we saw was simply unforgettable: bottlenose dolphins swimming gracefully nearby, sea turtles gliding past us, elegant blue-spotted stingrays, lionfish, and so many colorful and unique fish species we’d never seen before. Every dive felt like a window into a different world.
What really made this experience special wasn’t just the wildlife or the scenery—it was the way we were treated. Everything felt personal, unhurried, and genuine. It’s the kind of place that leaves you not only with beautiful memories but with the quiet confidence to keep diving and exploring.
We’ll absolutely be back—and if you’re considering diving in the Red Sea, Emperor Divers is a name you can trust.

I highly recommend this dive operation! This was my first time on a liveaboard and I am hooked. The staff, DM’s, boat staff and dive boat staff are professional and very accomidating. I will certainly dive again in the Maldives with your group.

Being on the Emperor Asmaa was honestly like a dream. We had booked the Asmaa for the attractive price for the Wrecks and Reefs itinerary. Having never been on a liveaboard we had no expectations going into it and really just had some anxiety around the whole thing.
Our fears were misplaced and we feel nothing but happiness for the experience and sadness that it is over! It was the liveaboard of a lifetime.
The paperwork: all of it extremely straightforward, easy to understand and easy to complete. The read before you go document in particular covered all questions we had prior to disembarkation.
The crew: everyone on board made the experience super wonderful. The captain and his first mate were extremely professional, and competent making good decisions regarding the weather, low wind areas, and limiting swell wherever possible. All of the deck crew were amazing assisting with your gear, donning and doffing, and preparing you for the dives as best as they could/as much as you required.
Of particular note were the guides, Achmed-Ali and Wael. Both were so kind, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable no matter the conditions. They both made expert assessments regarding conditions, gave excellent briefings, and were very pleasant to be around. Also the salon crew Saad(?) and Zeyd; we felt as if the dining room was one of the fanciest establishments we had been to.
The food: absolutely amazing, plentiful, healthful and especially delicious. It is not hard to see why food can make or break an experience on board. Everyone shared our sentiment that it was all super yummy. The freshly prepared desserts prepared by the pastry chef were also unbelievable. There was always a great amount of salads and fresh vegetables to take with every meal.
The cabins: we stayed in the lower cabins (#4) and found the accommodation clean, fresh and comfortable. It had its own head and shower, hot water if you like, and the entire cabin was air conditioned. There was also a fan in the room. The bed and towels were made up routinely, and it even seemed that every time you left for a dive some part or all of your cabin was refreshed. They always always cleaned the head as well which was a super nice touch.
Equipment: we had rented and found the equipment in good shape. What we supplied though was our own torches and masks since we had those, and considering the torch rental was 48 Euro/week/person it makes sense to pick one up in Hurghada prior to sailing.
The boat: in its entirety it was comfortable, well kept, and spacious for us all. We were blessed to have a really good group where everyone mingled amongst each other and all got along really well. The Asmaa is a boat that can support 20 divers and we were only running with 14 so that may have made a difference in the comfort level. The briefings/drill regarding maritime safety were thorough enough without being cumbersome, and it made it clear that Emperor Divers takes safety very, very seriously. At no point did we ever feel as though something may have been an unsafe situation for the boat, crew, or her passengers.
The only downside? Having to disembark. I feel melancholic already for the memories created that for sure will last a lifetime.

Me and my daughter came for a starter course and loved every minute. The tutor Alex made the tutorial part before we went into the water really fun and enjoyable which made the actual dive even more fun as we had the confidence to put into action everything we learnt.
The amount of sealife we saw was incredible for the distance out to sea we dived as beginners, so well worth the money, which was very reasonable.
Would recommend this to anyone who has a slight interest in the sea.
Thanks Alex it was a great day.

Es war ein fantastisches Erlebnis. Kann jedem das Schnuppertauchen empfehlen, der es mal ausprobieren möchte. Das Team ist wahnsinnig nett und das Essen an Board top.
Alles auf Sicherheit ausgelegt. Super, gerne wieder.
