Easyjet have come up trumps for UK travellers wanting to visit the Red Sea this winter by opening up four new routes into Hurghada.
Starting on October 29, flights from Liverpool, Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow will be available through to the end of March.
It has been a long-standing grumble of divers in the north of the United Kingdom that reaching Egypt started with a long journey on their own island.
However, the new flights – which are already available to book – will make the whole travelling process a great deal easier.
The Scotland routes in particular fit well with some popular Emperor Divers itineraries.
With Edinburgh flights landing on Friday afternoon it means guests can go straight on board our Hurghada-based Reefs & Wrecks trip with no need for any extra accommodation.
Coming in from Glasgow, however, could offer the chance to stretch your trip out a little more.
Scotland’s second city has flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays meaning a couple of nights in a hotel at either end of your visit can sandwich your liveaboard holiday – which could also include our South & St Johns trips departing on Thursdays.
The four new routes start with Liverpool (Thursdays and Sundays) before beginning on a weekly basis from Belfast on Tuesday, October 31 and then adding Saturday flights on December 2.
Edinburgh departures get under way on Mondays and Fridays from November 6 and Glasgow joins in on November 8.
