Amelie becomes Emperor’s new Commercial Manager

Emperor Divers is very happy to appoint Amelie Bourgeois as our new commercial manager.

Having recently been our cruise director on Emperor Harmoni, Amelie has now been given the role of overseeing the sales and logistics element of the company and replaces long-standing Emperor employee Clare Armstrong who has been promoted to the position of chief administrative officer.

Amelie brings a wide range of skills to the job with her diving ability and experience complimented by a background in sales, account management and marketing as well as possessing a European Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Sciences and being able to speak English, French and Spanish.

Emperor Divers CEO, Alex Bryant, said: “We’re thrilled to have Amelie joining our management team and I’m certain she will bring a dynamic approach to our commercial development.

“It is an exciting time for Emperor as we look to build on our status as one of the most highly-regarding diving companies in the world. There is no doubt in my mind that Amelie’s contribution to that going forward will be invaluable.

“She offers so much with her understanding of the diving industry, knowledge of all our destinations and her business experience that I think she will be a huge asset to Emperor Divers.”

Amelie added: “International sales and marketing management had always been my occupation, mainly in the construction industry, and diving a hobby. I decided few years ago to reorient my career to the dive industry as it was the best way to enjoy my passion, share it with others and be part of the continuing development of this sector.

“I have been through a lot of positions starting from deckhand to snorkel guide, skipper, dive instructor and cruise director.

“My previous experiences offered me the chance to develop a strong knowledge of export, local regulations and customs, but most importantly to learn from all these different cultures and how to work together and adjust offers/services to meet everyone needs and expectations.

“I had the opportunity to start to create the sales and booking department for Dune, which was a really interesting challenge, and offered me the chance to really get into the specificity of Red Sea, Maldives and Indonesia and the diving industry.

“I hope my knowledge of both operations, as well as the guests and their expectations, will be a real plus and help to develop the activity and destinations of Emperor.”
