Komodo National Park | Here be dragons! 7 - 11 night trips

Read why this part of the world holds such an appeal
with words straight from a recent guest - thanks Sherry!

The Komodo National Park is world renowned for the excellent quality and variety of diving. In the north we have the black sands of the Sangeang Volcano with its critters and bubble flows and the reefs around Gili Banta. The south provides cooler temperatures with manta action and nutrient rich reefs with ocean flow from the Indian Ocean. The central section give you reefs and small islands teeming with life fed by the currents running between the islands of Komodo and Rinca.

Add to this the chance to see the famous Komodo Dragon in its natural habitat, beautiful beaches, look-outs to climb and you have a paradise both below and above the water.

Our recent guest, Sherry Wright, loved her diving holiday in Komodo from Emperor Raja Laut...here's what she had to say:

"The Emperor Raja Laut is newly renovated and is in beautiful shape. The day-to-day operations including dives were run smoothly. The crew were all really helpful and friendly.

All the crew took turns helping with entering and exiting the dinghies, handling the equipment, and making our dives great. Sophie and Flo were superb hosts and divemasters. I loved that they sat with us for meals and hung around chatting with us when they didn't have tasks to do. I felt like they became friends.

My luggage including dive gear all got left behind in Bali and I was supplied with very new rental gear. I felt very supported as people chipped in to lend me things that I normally would have had. As for the diving, the sites were great! The reefs were some of the healthiest I've seen. Flo, Sophie, and Downey were very clear and specific about dive plans, entries, dealing with currents, etc. I was in Sophie's group, and I was amazed and grateful for her ability to spot the smallest little macro creatures and still keep an eye on the blue.

I had a fabulous week and highly recommend the boat and the Komodo itinerary."
