We are delighted to announce we have received not one, but two, TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence for our Marsa Alam and El Gouna dive centres. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

Emperor Divers El Gouna has won this for the four times whilst Emperor Divers Marsa Alam has won the award for the FIFTH year in a row.

The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

“We’re very proud of the teams at Marsa Alam and El Gouna for winning the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence. Many thanks to all our guests who took the time to complete a review,” said Luke Atkinson, General Manager for Emperor Divers Red Sea. “Being recognised like this always creates a feel-good factor, especially when it comes from those very people who enjoyed the diving and service with us.”

“This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions,” says TripAdvisor’s Vice President of Industry Marketing, Heather Leisman.

Emperor Virgo's aerial video

Thanks to Andreas Schumacher for this super video taken from Emperor Virgo on his Maldives 'Sharktastic' trip recently.

Andreas sent us this little report too;

"Starting at North Malé and then South Malé before going further south down to Vaavu and Meemu. We cruised west to South Ari, Nord Ari and back to Malé.

We had some good shark action on almost every dive, greys reef sharks, nurse sharks, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks and a whale shark out in the blue. Schools of jacks, batfish, barracudas, eagle rays and some turtles but also lots of small stuff like ghost-pipe fish, nudibranchs, a leaf fish and of course plenty of anemones with their clownfish and its cleaner shrimps.

The week on Emperor Virgo was such fun! Great dive guides and crew! Excellent company.”

PEGASUS 'RELOADED'!

| No TrackBacks

Freshly back from dry dock our Emperor Pegasus is shiny and new. On top of that there have been some improvements to enhance your comfort:

- New storage system for 100 tanks without the need to have them standing around on the floor of the dive deck.

- New hangers for suits over the diving platform, so those are out of your way when setting up your gear.

- More space on the dive deck by removing hatches and storage boxes, plus 4 new spaces for diver and gear.

- Enlarged sundeck for better relaxing between dives & snorkel excursions.

But a picture paints a thousand words, so see for yourself! Lots more photos on our El Gouna Facebook page too

From recent guest, Erick Miralbell Estepa, in Barcelona...

"Thanks to Emperor Serenity Crew for an incredible week! (16/04- 22/04 2018).

We have spent some unforgettable days with friends (the ones we took and the ones we have made there) in the Emperor Serenity.

A fabulous crew, they have gone out of their way to make the trip to our liking, they have done everything possible to make us enjoy the wonders of the Maldives: sharks (white tips, black tips, grey, nurse, whale shark), mantas, eagles, turtles, Napoleon, etc.

Special mention for Nuria and Yaqui, great professionals, and amazing people! Thank you both for your patience and dedication!

If luck ever brings us back to Maldives, it will surely be accompanied by Emperor Divers!"

Tiger sharks 'keep turning up' in the Maldives

IDC course

They're becoming a popular sighting from lots of our liveaboards including Emperor Atoll during our Sharktastic trip.

The guides tell us they have been encountering a tiger shark for the past few weeks on the check dive! Let's hope it stays around. As we said, lots of boats have been seeing it as the check dive is close to Hulhumale. Rather a super check dive!

Enjoy this video of a tremendous tiger shark filmed recently in North Male Atoll.

Seriously stunning images from one of our amazing guests Johan Amerijckx. Look at the vivid colours and fabulous marine life here in the Red Sea right at this very minute. Just the place to be for a helping of happiness.

PS Johan used a Canon G16 in a Nauticam housing, 2 INON D-2000 strobes and a INON (UWL-S100) wide-angle lens for these images. Nice work Johan!
