Emperor Divers - Behind the Scenes team
I am responsible for the Emperor group and am lucky to be part of a team that works hard to make sure our guests, both new and 'old', enjoy their holiday with us at any of our dive centre locations or on one of our liveaboards.
The regular happy testimonials from our guests is proof of our high standards and we're fortunate to have a highly qualified and dedicated multicultural team working throughout Emperor.
A bit about my background - I've worked in the British diving industry, teaching and guiding, since 2005 and moved to Emperor Marsa Alam in 2009. I became Dive Centre Manager and then Regional Area Manager in 2014 and am now Emperor's General Manager. As a PADI Master Instructor I still like to teach and guide whenever I can. My favourite places are the local sites around Port Ghalib /Marsa Alam, or for big-teethy life then Little Brother has it hands down.
Photography is my real passion underwater and I often share my images on Facebook and throughout the website.
Originally from Birmingham, I moved to Poole, England where I met my husband Chris. We began our diving adventure together and enjoyed diving in and around the south coast and various worldwide diving holidays. And then we fell in love with the diving in Egypt and we took the plunge, literally. In 2004, I followed Chris to Sharm to start his full-time diving career.
I moved to Egypt as an Advanced Open Water Diver and went on to become a Rescue Diver; I even started my Divemaster before ear drum issues from a childhood accident shortened my diving journey and, following a severe perforation, I hung up my fins for good.
Work started for me in Sharm as a holiday/diving rep with Explorers and progressing to head up more logistics and commercial duties. Years later I was challenged with a move to a marketing role with Hard Rock Café but before long I bounced back to Explorers to assist with the merger with TUI. After the merger, I partnered a marketing and advertising company for six years before a short relocation to Malta for Chris to continue his technical diving adventure before returning to Egypt.
It's sometimes so easy to take for granted how beautiful Egypt is and how magical diving (or snorkelling for me now) in the Red Sea truly is. This is where I began my Emperor journey...and delighted that it continues to this day.
I was born in Cairo where I studied for Accountancy and since 2004 I have worked at Emperor Divers firstly based in Hurghada and then moving to Sharm. Having joined the Accounts Department, I progressed to Chief Accountant where I am responsible for a team looking after Emperor Divers' finances for both the Red Sea and Maldives. I live in Hurghada and have been here for a number of years now where I am based alongside the rest of the Head Office team.
Time out is spent with my wife and two young children, playing squash, a little bit of diving and travelling together to enjoy holidays. One of my best moments was our amazing honeymoon in Thailand.
