Hello all,

I'm coming over to Hurghada at the end of November (20th) with my dad, and my brother-in-law and his dive buddy for 4 days. The main reason for the visit is to do some work on their new apartment but it would be rude not to get wet while i'm there :D

I've got 2 days in which to get 4 dives in and be safe to fly home, and i'd like to ask which dive sites you would recommend for me off the day boat?

I'm PADI OW with 12 dives logged. Last dives were in Mallorca in July.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi there!

Many thanks for your forum post.

In Hurghada, all the diving is boat diving and the daily boats visit all of the local dive sites. Here there is mostly reef diving, with a wide variety of marine life available to see.

The daily diving schedule is arranged by the dive centre on each morning of diving. The sites that will be visited are not planned in advance and will be dependant upon where guests wish to dive, dive levels and experience, meaning that once you are in resort, you will be able to discuss this with your guide. The sites that may be visited as past of the daily diving packages are Sha'ab El Erg, Umm Gamar, Carless Reef, Sha'ab Iris, Fanadir, Sha'ab Pinkie, Sexy Reef, Hamada, Banana Reef, Small GiftunAbu Ramada, Gota Abu Ramada, El Aruk Gigi, Abu Hashish, Ras Disha, Halg Disha and many more (approx 60 sites).

For more information on these sites please visit our website at:

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards

Lianne

Hi Lianne,

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll send you an email to book myself on the boat for the 21st and 22nd Nov.

All booked! :D

I meant to ask, could I hire a computer or bottom timer for the weekend?

Hi Steve,

Computers are available to rent and can be arranged and paid for locally with the centre at 10 Euro per day, subject to 10% sales tax. Please note however that they are subject to availability.

Hope that this helps.

Kind Regards

Carmen
