Dive Dahab - Special Day Trip from Nuweiba
Price: 45 Euro per personDahab is just 45 mins drive south through the mountains from Nuweiba.
The sleepy town of Dahab, which means gold in Arabic, sits at the foot of the rose-hued Sinai Mountains. Once a simple Bedouin encampment it now boasts modern facilities but still retains its ethnic charm. Dahab sits on the Gulf of Aqaba and some of the deepest waters in the Red Sea are in the area, dropping in places to over 1800mt. Here, there is the opportunity to sight a busy reef life just a few metres beyond the fringing reef where it offers dive sites quite different to the ones in Nuweiba.
A day-trip from Nuweiba gives you the chance to dive Dahab's most famous sites, the Canyon and the Blue Hole. Both are shore dives where you will experience really unusual topography, as well as being home to species of fish that you don't often see around Nuweiba, such as the Red Sea Walkman (no music puns, please). You will leave early in the morning, so you are among the first divers to get in the water, arrive in Dahab and then dive these two amazing sites before enjoying a leisurely lunch and a stroll around Dahab and its coastline. Then back to Nuweiba in time to tell the tale over a drink or two.
This trip includes return transport, two guided dives and is subject to availability asthe trips are organised on request in resort. So if you are interested, let a member of staff know as soon as you arrive at the dive centre.
