Emperor Fleet - Manager Jens-P. Jacob
My name is Jens-P. Jacob and sometimes I am a typical German, but I don't think this is too bad :o)
The reason why I want our guests to have a very good, relaxing, amazing voyage on one of our liveaboards? This is my obsession. I grew up with a long tradition of seaman/sailors in my family. I started my career at sea with Hapag- Lloyd container vessels. As a trained ship mechanic I'm use to working on and with vessels.
With this knowledge of ships' mechanics and my experience running dive centres in the Red Sea I can keep up the high standard of Emperor Diver's liveaboards!
But working for Emperor Divers as the fleet manager is not only to take care about the boats - NO! The most important is YOU! So sail away for a week, go diving and return from a week onboard a floating luxury hotel, enjoying some great food having seen some of the best diving sites in the Red Sea with huge smiles and amazing stories to tell.
Looking to the future of liveaboards in the Red Sea it's evident that service and quality is number one priority. As Emperor has been at the top of the Red Sea liveaboard market for many years it's vital that I help keep it there by listening to guest comments for ideas and feedback. Including our shore based operations more in fleet organization and offering mini-safari or overnight trips from Marsa Alam and Hurghada dive centres on the liveaboards is a great way to introduce people to the concept of holidaying at sea and giving them a taste of the high standards of an Emperor liveaboard.
And of cause I'm a diver! My diving career started in Germany where I also make became instructor in 2004. In the meanwhile I dived in the Caribbean and Turkey and worked in Spain and Egypt, first as instructor and later as manager. Egypt is, for me, the best place for diving with all these unbelievable colours, the wrecks and the caverns…I look forward to welcoming you aboard!
