Thistlegorm open for diving again
The wreck of the SS Thistlegorm is open again for diving
.
Following an intense operation, conservation work to preserve this legendary wreck has been extremely successful and finished on schedule.
In addition to the moorings, a quantity of holes have been drilled in the wreck as air-escape outlets. Further holes will be drilled at a later date but will not require further closure of the site.
HEPCA thanks everyone for their valuable cooperation and support.
The conservation work on the SS Thistlegorm will now be followed by a similar project on the Rosalie Moller and other wrecks under threat as part of the HEPCA ‘Saving the Red Sea Wrecks’ Campaign.

Online booking system launched
To make it easier to book your diving experience, Emperor recently launched its ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM allowing you to book your diving, course or safari in just a few clicks.
Clearly Emperor guests are very happy to book online and many have opted to use the system, but email and telephone is still available if you prefer to contact our helpful reservations department with your booking.
Going diving has never been so easy - easy to understand, easy to do and great diving once you get there! In just a few clicks of that little mouse, you could be on your way to one of our five resorts or fleet of safari boats. To prove the point, October's prize draw winner booked his diving online, so not only was it easy, but also free! Well done to Eric Peters from The Netherlands who booked 3 x 5 day dive packs in Hurghada and gets his pack refunded.

Learn how to hunt for wrecks!
Emperor Divers has been leading the way in discovering new Red Sea wrecks.
Now you can learn how to use professional high-tech 'hunting' equipment from sonar to magnetometers.
Also learn how to use archive material and Naval records to get information on wreck positions.
Your course leader is Steve Carmichael-Timson, an ex-Royal Navy ship's diver and the ONLY instructor able to offer this unique course with Emperor Divers and PADI.
Steve, who is absolutely fascinating to talk to (what he doesn't know about finding wrecks isn't worth knowing) and can add a new slant to your Red Sea diving.
Courses cost £199 and take place on an Emperor Fleet luxury liveaboard. Click here for the full details.
