The famous Nuweiba dolphin
Mother and baby doing well.
Ollin, the famous Nuweiba dolphin, gave birth to a new baby last week (23 April), so Nuweiba now has three dolphins around - Ollin (the mother), Smira (the 3 year old) and the new baby.
We hope to bring you pictures of the new arrival soon!

Soma Bay has 'whale of a time'!
News just in from Emperor's dive team in Soma Bay.
Just thought that it’d be a good idea to make everyone jealous by letting you know that we just had a seven-metre whale shark on our house reef. Now, who can beat that for a house reef spectacular?
Unfortunately, everyone was in such a state of excitement, no-one took a piccie - so please just use your imagination!

Hammerheads show on Fraser’s first trip to Daedalus
Dive guides Paul Vinten and Lisa Gates and guests made their first liveaboard trip of 2004 to Daedalus on Fraser last week (11.04.04).
A marine show was enjoyed by all as 10 to 15 hammerheads were spotted hanging off the north tip of the reef. Elphinstone also got in on the act, where two hammerheads were also seen, making Paul, Lisa and guests ponder if the shark season is underway!
Meanwhile, down at St John’s reefs, every week, one or two manta rays are seen. Good time to get down there, we think!
And whilst all this was going on, guests on Fraser took advantage of the on-board Tek equipment to do a tekkie dive.

NEW! Dive Dahab - ideal for rec & tek
Emperor's seventh dive centre has opened in Dahab!
This PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Resort and 5 Star IDC Centre is located in the Swisscare La Reine Hotel, just 200m from the idyllic coastline of the Gulf of Aqaba.
The dive centre and training pool is in the hotel grounds and Emperor's shop is right in the hotel. The sea is just a short stroll away.
Within easy reach of the world famous sites of the Canyon and Blue Hole, as well as a host of other great dive sites, Emperor's centre is ideally situated for both the recreational and technical diver alike.
In summer, Emperor Diver's team offers an overnight camel safari to dive the Canyon and the Blue Hole; we then go by camel to the Abu Galum National Park for a night dive. The overnight stay is in a very basic Bedouin Camp without water or electricity! After breakfast we head north by jeep to Ras Mamlach for another two dives.
5 excellent dives in just 2 days!
Technical diving in Dahab
Dahab is quite rightly seen as a place of pilgrimage for most Red Sea Tekkies. The deep sites here are nothing short of fantastic and are not restricted to just the Blue Hole and the Canyon.
