Captains Blog 25708. As predicted the plasma cloud hit the M class reef Jackson late last night with increased wind speed recorded. USS Theresa withdrew into the Laguna nebula region for shelter at impulse speed as the ships navigation systems were being affected.
Captain Donna mounted a night patrol of the nebula but unfortunately little was to be found. In the morning USS Theresa reestablished her observation position but with such high solar winds stayed out of the Briar Patch. Several smaller shuttlecraft from large long range ships from other planets tried to enter the area and one was smashed by a thermobaric wave onto the M class reef Jackson. It was turned over and its crew had to bale out. The crew was last seen walking over the reef area, as attempts were made to salvage the shuttlecraft. These prove successful and the shuttle returned to its mother ship.
Back in the Local Zone two of the new recruits have been given command of two our fleet ships for trials in that area. My First Officer, Mr Terry, will be supervising the exercises and if successful the new recruits will receive their 'Blue Shirts' at the weekly conference tonight.
