Captains Blog 25708. Prior to Mr Dav taking a leave of absence to conduct some technical training he and Mr Scout were despatched in two separate ships to the Tiran System to confirm the wind conditions and the stability of the nebula.
Despite some gravitational distortions that were detected by the long range sensors both ships made it to the area and found that conditions had improved since the departure of USS Theresa back to the Neutral Zone. Both officers led Away Teams into the Briar Patch behind the M class reef Jackson. It was eerily quiet with only the sighting of one lone Hammer scout, which was difficult to explain .........until both teams encountered a 7 metre Whale Shark patrolling the Outback. They also reported two white tip reef sharks at the coordinates of Gordon Reef later in the mission.
