We have Feefo - but what is it?

What's Feefo? You may have come across it if you were buying clothes or the like. Feefo has expanded their service to the travel industry so, as we welcome your opinion on how you think we are doing, we signed up so you can tell us.

Feefo is entirely independent and monitors our guests' feedback on the service they have received from us and then shows them online for all to see - whatever the feedback.

A big thank you to all who have used Feefo so far, it helps us to continually improve our service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic MSDT Instructors to join our Dive Centre, based as the Hilton Plaza in Hurghada. Plus, for approximately 12 weeks of the year, you will also work on our liveaboards.

As instructors and experienced divers, you will be confident in both teaching and guiding guests of all certification levels. Get in touch with us if you have excellent interpersonal skills, great team spirit and an enthusiasm for diving that will bring our guests back for more.

Both couples and single diving instructors are welcome to apply. It's essential that you can speak fluent Spanish, Russian and English. Additional European languages are an advantage.

The successful candidates will be offered a 1 year contact and will receive salary and commission.

Super snorkelling trips - tell your friends

The Great Escape from Terra Firma..onboard Emperor Superior

It had been over four years since I had dived open-water...four long and very painful years!

Even though I have been a qualified diver for over 15 years now and a PADI Instructor since 1998, plus a former Emperor Divers' Instructor and dive-guide, I was terribly afflicted by fire as a result of a light-aircraft accident in 2007 - the type of accident that people refer to as 'life-changing!'

19th August 2007 was a day that I shall never forget. I was solo-piloting a light-aircraft in Florida, USA. I sustained an engine fire during flight, whilst on approach to land, leaving me with very little time to react. I followed an emergency procedure - according to protocol - for an in-flight fire, however the flames breached the fire-wall, which should ordinarily protect me from such an incident. Instead, flames quickly began to engulf the cock-pit, working its way up my lower-limbs towards my upper-body and face. I was forced to act fast or meet my demise.

Dolphins of the Red Sea

Regular guests of Emperor Divers have more than likely encountered one or more of these fantastic creatures, riding the bow wave of your dive boat, or the really lucky have had the opportunity to spend some time in the water alongside them diving or snorkelling.

Dolphins are a common sight in all areas of the Red Sea, from Taba down to Sudan, but how much do you really know about these intelligent animals?

Joran Buwalda - Junior Master Scuba Diver at 13 years old!

Recently, 13 year old Joran Buwalda from the Netherlands qualified as Junior Master Scuba Diver with Emperor Divers Hurghada.

Two years ago Joran, with his father Mattijn as buddy, did his Open Water Course in Cairns Australia and got hooked on diving. Joran was then lucky enough to receive Advanced Open Water training from Mohammed Hashem at Emperor Hurghada who has a gift for teaching junior divers.
