TA Award 2014 HMS.jpg

Emperor Divers is delighted to announce that it has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award for its Hamata, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh dive centres. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a registered algorithm to measure the account reviews ratings.  Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five in volume and on-going reviews.

“We are very proud of the entire team at Hamata, Marsa Alam and Sharm for Winning the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence. Many thanks to all our guests who took the time to complete a review,” said Luke Atkinson, Area Manager for Emperor Divers Red Sea. “Being recognised like this always creates a feel-good factor, especially when it comes from those very people who enjoyed the diving and service at Emperor.”

“TripAdvisor is pleased to honour exceptional hospitality businesses for consistent excellence,” said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business. “The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers.”

A fine review for Elite and her crew via TripAdvisor

Norwich, United Kingdom

“Can't wait for my next liveaboard!”

5 of 5 starsReviewed 12 May 2014 NEW

I was a bit sceptical when my dad suggested we go diving on a liveaboard- this was my first and I loved it!

We went with the elite, and the boat was huge and pretty luxurious- I was worried that it would be too crowded and you wouldn't have your own space- but I couldn't believe there were 11 crew, 20 divers plus the 2 dive guides on the boat. It was maintained and cleaned to a very high standard.

The food was always good, there was plenty of it. The crew realised I don't like peppers (don't like to make a fuss about it)- they made me food without peppers! Little touches like this really goes a long way. The last dive of the day, we are greeted with a lovely drink, I never really knew what they all were but they were delicious and much appreciated.

The dive guides were great, really loved what they do and were fun and interesting to be around. Even though they were around us pretty much all they time, they remained happy and friendly- even when one of them developed a cold!

All the staff were amazing.

It's a great way to become more experienced and confident with diving and learning from fellow divers also.

Great value for money, great diving, great people. What more can you ask for?!

I am looking forward to my next trip.

“Professionalism - all the way!!”
I convinced my wife to try scuba diving about a year ago. 6 months later she finally completed her open water. This is when we decided to work together to achieve our advanced open water, to allow us to access far greater sites around the world. We carried out the theory in the UK and had a referral to Emperor Divers in Egypt. This was based on a recommendation from our UK dive school. Not knowing one school from another, we booked the referral and travelled out to Egypt.
Cat, who was our main contact from the school was amazing. Replying to all our queries and questions usually within a few hours. This gave us confidence that the school would look after us. She arranged for hotel transfers to the school, and right on time the bus turned up to pick us up.
Upon arrival at the school we were greeted warmly by all members of staff, some that we have the pleasure of working with, Ali, Luke, Hollie, Kirsty, Scott, Anna, Carol and Caley!!! There were so many others and with our short time here, we felt like friends instantly. From checking in, the procedure for getting on boats, orientation dives, explaining the tasks at hand to actually diving, everything was done to the highest quality and professionalism.
We passed our AOW (thanks Hollie) and decided to go on another days diving with Scott and Kirsty. All the dives were equally professional. Someone in charge certainly knows how to run a good school!!
If you want to try scuba, or take your skills to the next level, then I personally would not dive with any other school in the area. Emperor Divers will certainly be receiving more of our custom!
Thanks team, see you later this year!

5 of 5 starsReviewed 1 May 2014

My husband and I spent 5 great days diving with Emperor Divers/Blue Brothers. What a great discovery!

The staff and owners are very friendly, fun, competent, and safety-conscious. A beautiful comfy boat, perfectly well equipped with sound equipment, fantastic crew and an excellent chef!

As always, we were taken to great dive sites and given non-stop top-notch services.

If you want a great diving experience in Egypt El Gouna, we highly recommend Emperor Divers/Blue Brothers!  Thank you again to all of you at Emperor Divers/Blue Brothers for a truly awesome experience. Hope to see you all very soon :)

Manta at Elphinstone

MANTA! Lose yourself in this fantastic video of the manta at Elphinstone with Emperor Marsa Alam.

Taken just a few days ago, this is what you could be experiencing right now in the warm waters of the Red Sea.

The team tells us that the manta hung around for ages with the divers.

With hammerheads already seen there too, this year is going to be THE year of dream-inspiring sightings! (We'll have some great video footage of hammerheads in our next newsletter – and on Facebook).

Why Hamata for Freediving?

| No TrackBacks

Want to know why Hamata is THE place to freedive? Well, because it can offer a variety of ways to try your hand at the sport.

For instance, if freediving on the house reef isn't enough to whet the appetite, then there are special trips to the 65 metre long wreck of the Hamada, laying on its starboard side at 15 metres, or Hamata's dolphin house, Sha'ab Sataya, where huge pods of spinner dolphins are known to frequent (watch the video above).

Freediving in HamataPlus, Hamata offers considerably more protection from adverse weather than other Red Sea locations, with a variety of nearby shore based sites within 10-15 minutes.

Coral reefs here are pristine, untouched by tourism and teeming with life such as rays, turtles, dolphins, and so much more - all on your doorstep at the Zabargad Berenice Resort.
