Marsa Alam Marina Lodge mr.jpg

InterContinental Hotels has appointed Emperor Divers to manage the diving operations in their hotels in Port Ghalib; the Palace Port Ghalib, the Crown Plaza Resort and, the divers’ favourite, the Marina Lodge with its onsite rinse facilities and storage.

Luke Atkinson, Emperor's Area Manager for Marsa Alam, explains, "We now have the most convenient set up available in Port Ghalib, which makes access to our boats even easier. As well as day diving, guests can enjoy single house reef dives at the Palace and Crown Plaza. This is a welcome service especially for a diver on holiday with family who doesn’t want to be out on a boat all day. We'll still be offering our unlimited house reef diving at the Moreen Beach hotel, so all in all we have the area covered, literally."

Benefits to divers visiting the area are:
·         The only dive centre operating its own boats inside Port Ghalib
·         The only centre with boats on site at Marina Lodge, therefore the only ones able to offer ‘zero transfer’ diving from Port Ghalib
·         Marina Lodge guests have equipment rinse, store facilities, boats on site and the ultimate convenience
·         Morning and afternoon guided house reef dives from Port Ghalib Palace Hotel House Reef. Three different dives possible thanks to two entry points

Emperor provides transfers from Marsa Alam Airport to hotels in Marsa Alam. For more flight choice, Friday arrivals into Hurghada can take advantage of Emperor’s FREE Ride Friday with free transfers to Marsa Alam.

The Sharm Team received this glowing recommendation from Pete Tomkins who took a group from Dive Wimbledon recently. Really worth a share...

"If you want to dive the Red Sea with a team of knowledgeable, safe, helpful and above all FUN divers then I would Highly recommend Emperor Divers Sharm El Sheikh as the company to dive with. Please read on.

I took a group of 12 divers from our club Dive Wimbledon and spent a week diving with Emperor Divers Sharm El Sheikh. 2nd to 8th March 2014.

0314 sharm photo.jpg
From the outset I was impressed by their customer service. They turned up promptly on day one to collect us and equipment from the Hotel. The check in procedure at the dive centre was straight forward and efficient. We were then taken straight to the boat to begin our diving adventure.

On the boat (Emperor Marcus) our guides/instructors Peter, Roger, Ryan and Scott provided second to none safety and dive briefings with fantastic diagrams and explanations of the dive sites. The dive briefings were detailed enough for both novice and experienced divers but also fun and informative.
Tip, brush up on your Latin if the guide is Peter.

The boat crew were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for either the guides or the boat crew. Lunch on the boat was as good if not better than the food at the Hilton Hotel.
Tip, lunch on the boat includes drinks and cost only a couple of Euros more than drinks only.
The diving was spectacular and relaxed. Some beautiful sites and wrecks.

Every member of our group totally enjoyed the whole experience with Emperor and even the extra charges and supplements were fantastic value for money.

There are no negative points I can think of to mention. Any minor issues were promptly dealt with and settled by our guides so they could not become a negative.

I have dived all over the world and I can say without reservation that Emperor Sharm El Sheikh are one of the best, if not the best I have had the privilege of diving with in respect of safety, fun and value for money.

Fantastic, thanks Emperor."

“Perfect diving vacation”

5 of 5 starsReviewed March 11, 2014 NEW

We've been for one week in Egypt with the sole purpose of diving. We booked the Emperor's special offer: 5 days diving incl. full equipment for 250€ / person. The dive computer was also included.
The guys from the diving center are extremely well organised and efficient. On the first day we were given our equipment - in good / very good state - and after that we didn't worry about it any longer. The guys shipped / moved our equipment boxes from boat to boat according to our diving plans.
The pick ups were always on time, the transfers back to the hotel generally quick . Only on one day we had to wait for about 30 min at the dive center.
Lunch or beverage on the boats was cheap - 6,5€ or 4€ / person/ day. As I do not tend to stuff myself when diving, I can say the lunch was pretty ok.
We did 2 days local diving (Temple is not to be missed) 2 days Ras Mo ( beautiful) and 1 Day Tiran ( Jackson Reef is breathtaking). Our dive guides were giving well organised briefings, they are very through.
I enjoyed my dives - although only a beginner I had the opportunity to dive with all other experienced divers - I was able to 'book' a private guide who gave me & my husband good advice and guided us privately. This was done just at more difficult places.
I found it good that we were able to tell the guides which places we wanted to dive and they made their plans according to our wishes. So if you want to do something special - just speak up and they will try to meet your every wish.
My husband and I are planning to do the AOW license in summer in Egypt. We are going to book it with Emperor Divers.

Emperor Elite's 'unique' diving

Join Elite for unique marine life on South & St Johns route

Elite ext.jpg

Dive the South & St Johns on board the lovely Elite and enjoy some unique diving in one of the sunniest places on the planet. At Shaab Claudio, dive the reefs, coral gardens, famous swim-throughs and huge porite corals.

White tip reef sharks and an anemone and clownfish settlement can be seen a
little off the reef to the South. Abu Galawa Soraya has a fantastic coral garden and a wreck of a private sailing boat populated with glass fish.
0507 oceanic white tip shark.jpg

Fury Shoals gives you more exposed reefs and walls attracting pelagics, schools of barracuda and sharks. Gota Soraya is rated as possibly one of the best wall dives in the
Red Sea, with overhangs and cracks in the reef wall full of glass fish and sweepers as well as an abundance of corals, grey reef, silvertips and hammerhead
sharks.

Did you know? There are over one thousand species of fish in the Red Sea. Of those, 20 percent can only be found in these waters. Now that makes it rather unique don't you think?

A bit more about Elite ...
Elite is a custom-designed liveaboard, built to a superior standard and takes a maximum of 24 guests in 11 twin-berth cabins and a double master suite, all with ensuite, air conditioning, flat screen TV with media player.
