New one-day trip to Ras Abu Gallum, Dahab
If Indiana Jones could dive, he'd do it here!

Stand-in turtle shows how posing should be done Take a day out with Emperor Nuweiba to drive to the top of the mountains then descend the wadis and canyons to Ras Abu Gallum - one of the the closest dive sites to Nuweiba. This is a site where the bigger fish hide out, where you can swim through the glassfish pinnacle and have lunch with the local Bedouins before returning by jeep along the scenic coast road.
You need to be on the ball as the trip leaves at 7.00 am but it's worth the early rise to enjoy an 'Indiana Jones adventure' according to one guest. After a Bedouin tea the first dive begins with a variety of soft and hard corals on a wall drop-off looking out for the bigger fish. Another tea and another dive through a vibrant coral garden where guests have enjoyed the biggest glassfish pinnacle ever plus a good mix of nudibranches, a few large shadows, a camera-shy turtle and a school of barracudas.
Then it's lunch with the Bedouins - and despite the Indiana Jones' terrain, no temples of doom!
