About us

I was born in Germany, started diving in 1985 and visited Egypt for the first time in 1986. I dived all over the world, mainly as a holiday diver, but started my diving resort management career in 1994 when I owned a dive centre in Germany for two years and then in Kenya where I lived before joining Emperor Divers in 1997.

My role within the company means that I am responsible for the whole of the Emperor group and I am luck to be part of a team that works hard to make sure our guests, both new and 'old', enjoy their holiday with us at any of our locations or on one of our liveaboards.

The testimonials and feedback from our guests is welcome proof of our high standards and your enjoyment makes me very happy to see this. We are fortunate in that we have a highly qualified and dedicated team working throughout Emperor; from the dive centre managers and their teams to our reservations staff and all who work hard to give Emperor its fine reputation. My thanks to all.

I'm often your first contact with Emperor as I deal with customer enquiries and reservations on a daily basis providing a good customer service to both direct guests and Tour Operators.

I'm also involved in creating special offers and keeping the online booking engine and reservations system up to date. Really, it's all about overlooking the general running of the reservations department and making sure it all goes smoothly...so you get a good holiday!

In my spare time I love to dive and have the PADI Open Water certification. I have many years of experience of working in the diving industry.

Born and raised in England, my first experience of the world of diving came 14 years ago when I did a PADI Discover Scuba Dive in Cyprus. I was immediately hooked and, as I was holidaying with parents at the time, begged and pleaded for another go. Since that holiday, diving and the underwater world has been my passion.

I returned to Cyprus to complete my Divemaster and Instructor Development Course and enjoyed it so much I stayed for four years! I met my wife, Kelly, here (who is also an Instructor) and we decided to move to Sharm where I started working with Emperor and then moved to El Gouna as Manager, and here we are!

Born in Germany, I manage both our Hurghada Dive Centre and Emperor Fleet, both based at the Hilton Plaza Hotel.

My diving career started in Germany where I also became an instructor in 2004. I have dived in the Caribbean and Turkey and worked in Spain and Egypt, first as instructor and later as a manager.

Egypt, for me, is the best place for diving with unbelievable reef colours, marine life, wrecks and caverns.

The team here will all be aiming to continue and improve upon the customer care and diving service as well as giving a warm welcome to guests old and new.

I have worked in the British diving industry, teaching and guiding, since 2005 and moved to Marsa Alam in 2009 to make my passion my full time job.

I'm a PADI Master Instructor and still like to teach, but my preference is guiding and I have had some wonderful experiences, indeed my favourite dives are right here in Marsa Alam. I love the corals of Ras El Torfa, the life in Marsa Shouna and of course the excitement of diving Elphinstone.

Scottish born and bred, it was on resettlement training from the army in Dahab, having never dived before, that I fell in love with the exhilaration of diving and completed my Open Water Diver, going swiftly on to PADI Divemaster and then to PADI Course Director.

My love for all things diving saw me return a month later when I completed my Open Water scuba instructor and discovered a true passion for teaching and diving. Now a PADI Course Director, I have been in the Sinai for more than seven years living the dream.

With its remote beauty, Nuweiba has been home for over five years. With its array of the finer creatures that the Red Sea has to offer we are never disappointed as on almost every dive we spot something new.

This is a fantastic place to live and dive and has a great selection to offer everyone from the novice diver to the more experienced diver. I look forward to welcoming back so many off our repeat guest and invite our new guests to make Nuweiba their home.

I was born in Germany and raised in both England and Germany. I completed my PADI Open Water Course in October 200O whilst on holiday in Mexico.

After diving holidays in Gozo and Tobago the following year, I decided to quit my IT job and become a dive instructor. I then spent three months in Fiji with Coral Cay Conservation before heading to Emperor Sharm in November 2002 to do my Divemaster course. In May 2003 I became an Instructor and was employed by Emperor Sharm. In October 2010 I stepped away from the water to work on some IT projects for Emperor before returning to the Sharm Team as Manager.

The Sharm Team and I look forward to seeing you and taking you diving on our beautiful reefs...I might even escape the office and join you on the boats for a day!
